How do you keep a hula hoop from falling to the ground? Use your hula hoop to explore the mysterious force of friction, let inertia put your hoop in a spin, find out what hooping has in common with fairground rides and washing machines, and discover why, with hoops, size really does matter.
Come along and join the mass hula as part of ScienceFest’s opening celebrations. Find out how basic physics can make you a better hula hooper and join in the fun. No experience needed. All hoops can be taken home afterwards free of charge!
